SXSW 08
So. we made it back with all our limbs and half our livers. 5 shows in as many days. We met many new fans and then drank their names away to the texas sun. The weather was fantastic and the people all in great moods.
All our shows went swimmingly especially an instore at Cheapos where we played the best all week. even though we barely made it out of bed on Thursday.
Justin and Ben moshed to BYOP and Justin has the ciggarett burns to prove it. Tyler and I drank free wine and beer at a Nylon party atop a downtown hotel surrounded by infiinity pools and people that looked important but probably weren’t. We drove the wrong way down one-way streets and walked till our shoes hurt. I met a girl named J whom i was very envious of as I have always wished my name was just the letter.
We saw alot of impressive artists. Most notably Phosphorecent, Los Compesinos!, Evangelicals, Jens Lekman, Shout Out Louds, Black Mountain, BYOP, Thurston Moore and Band, The Whigs, Liam Finn, The Yuppy Pricks, Tiger! Tiger!.
I missed all but 1 song of Lekke Li and Matt and Kim. Two artists i really wanted to see. I also completely missed Cool Kids, The Cribs, Why?, and Ra Ra Riot which really saddens me.
We almost got arrested a couple of times and ate more street food than we should have.
My camera fucked up so we have one pic that sums it up pretty good.

NEW SONG, NEW VIDEO
So...
Justin, Mel, and I are drinkin and listnening to the new Lekke Li.
I am kinda in love with her.
It is now 12 am and our record is officially available to own. We will kiss you on the lips if you buy it.
We are going over last minute details for SXSW. There are so many things to do and we are trying to decide where we will party. We will probably end up somewhere completely different than we expected and that, my friends, is why we are going. A week of the craziest parties in america in one medium sized Texas town.
There is a new song available to listen on the myspace. It is one of our favorites. We have only played it a couple of times last year but it is a beauty.
While you are working and goin bout everyday life this week, you can check the myspace for SXSW video updates of out hijinks. We will have many special guests and insane drunken arguments. a typical WWTS tour. We have one special nugget to keep you happy
